Award's Night will be on Wednesday, May 22 at 6:00 pm in the school's auditorium. Seniors as well as underclassmen will be recognized for their outstanding academic accomplishments! As of 5/15/2013, 50 seniors have reported a one-year total of $544,714.00 in scholarship offers and a four-year total of 2,062,156.00. Please continue to turn all scholarship offers to Mrs. Nichols in the Counseling Center whether you decide to accept or not! A representative from North Carolina Central will be at Sun Valley on Tuesday, May 21 from 10:00am to 2:00pm looking for students who have an SAT score of 850 or higher and a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Rising 11th and 12th graders interested in taking courses through the Career and College Promise at South Piedmont Community College for the Fall 2013 Term, need to see Mrs. Nichols in Guidance for registration information. Registration will be held in the libraries of each campus on the following dates: Tuesday-Wednesday, May 21-22 from 9am until 3pm each day.Carolina School of Broadcasting Summer Workshop
This one week summer workshop is from 1:30-4:00 each day at the Carolina School of Broadcasting. The cost is $350.00 per person, and some limited WSOC scholarships are available. Running for You - UCPS 5K for Teachers (from UCPS)
Please join us for the Inaugural “Running for U – UCPS 5K Run/Walk for Union County Teachers” in Historic Downtown Monroe on June 1, 2013. All proceeds go to UCPS teachers through classroom mini-grants. For more information and to register visit here.
