SVHS NJROTC Color Guard presented colors for the Duke University Basketball team in the Camden Hall area on the campus of Duke University over Winter Break (December 19, 2011 and January 1, 2012).  Duke played against UNC Greensboro and Penn State University. 

This is the first time in the history of our NJROTC program and school that a unit had been requested by a major university to participate in their school events.  The event was was televised on ESPN, and the commanding officer at Duke University was quite impressed with the pride and professionalism of our NJROTC unit.  He has requested our presence at other school activities in the future. 

The cadets that attended are members of our Senior Color Guard:  Daniel Martinez, Joshua Chase, Scott Macek, and Chance McKay.  Bravo Zulu, Job Well Done!
